Team Management Systems®

Drs. Charles Margerison and Dick McCann began their research to understand why some teams were highly successful, where others – with similar experience, skills and abilities – failed. With more than 25 years of research, their study became the foundation of Team Management Systems (TMS), an instrument of research-proven assessments which reveal critical dynamics of people and their work processes to help develop high-performance in the workplace.

TMS comprises three integrated models. The first model – the Types of Work Wheel – defines the nine key success factors that form the basis of best teamwork. The second model – the Four Work Preference Measures – indicates how an individual likes to work, and how it differs from other team members, based on four dichotomies. The third model – the Team Management Wheel – combines the first two models, illustrating both what an individual likes to do, as well as how one goes about one’s work. Knowing one’s preference, as well as potentially knowing the preferences of their team members, means better individual and team performance.

Our workshops are either half-day or full-day, and can be combined with modules or components of other workshops, such as managing and supervising or team-building, or with a 1:1 feedback session to review strengths and potential areas for development.

There is an additional per person cost for each TMS assessment, whether completed as an electronic or hard-copy questionnaire.
