Myers-Briggs Type Indicator®
Perhaps the most well-known and widely used instruments of its kind, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) makes the theory of psychological type understandable and useful in people’s lives. Originally described by Carl Jung, Isabel Myers and her daughter Katharine Briggs developed the theory that much seemingly random variation in people’s behaviour is actually orderly and consistent due to the differences in ways individuals prefer to use their perception and judgment.
It regards personality type similar to left- or right-handedness. Individuals are either born with, or develop, preferred ways to think and act. MBTI sorts these differences into four opposite pairs, or dichotomies, with a resulting 16 possible psychological types. Knowing one’s type means a better understanding of yourself.
We use the MBTI as a foundation for workshop discussions and exercises on many elements of communications and personal development, such as leadership behaviour, managing and supervising staff, stress management and team problem-solving.
Our workshops are either half-day or full-day, and can be combined with modules or components of other workshops, such as leadership and ‘Creating Impact,’ or with a 1:1 feedback session to review strengths and potential areas for development.
There is an additional per person cost for each MBTI assessment, whether completed as self-scorable booklet or an online assessment.
